A few things to look out for as you explore African Safari.
The “Big Five” — lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and Cape buffalo — were originally named by hunters as the hardest animals to track on foot, and the name stuck as a safari icon.
Every year around 1.5 million wildebeest, along with zebra and gazelle, make the great migration across the Serengeti–Mara in a huge loop chasing the rains and fresh grass.
African elephants are the largest land animals on Earth and can use their trunks — which contain around 40,000 muscles — to smell water several kilometres away.
